Barry Logan New Executive Director of Fredric Rieders Foundation

An accomplished toxicologist based in Pennsylvania, Dr. Barry Logan serves as the senior vice president for forensic science initiatives at NMS labs. A globally-renowned toxicologist, he’s also affiliated with the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education. Dr. Barry Logan has been previously appointed to high-profile positions in many organizations, including the Fredric Rieders Family Renaissance Foundation.

The Fredric Rieders Family Renaissance Foundation announced the appointment of Dr. Barry K. Logan, a leading alcohol and drug-impaired driving expert, as the foundation’s Executive Director.

Founded by Dr. Fredric Rieders, The Fredric Rieders Family Renaissance Foundation has, since its inception, played an active role in reaching out to underrepresented minority students through multiple educational outreach programs. The non-profit education foundation seeks to assist young, smart, and underprivileged students develop a passion and interest for science, art, and humanities.

Dr. Logan took over the position from Dr. G. John DiGregorio, who, in collaboration with Dr. Fredric Rieders, launched the Forensic Mentors Institute at the Foundation.

According to Dr. Michael Rieders, Dr. Logan’s appointment will add significant value to the Foundation, considering his strong education and mentorship background. He will be expected to continue promoting the legacy of bringing together underprivileged minority students with excellent mentors to help young students achieve major successes in science research.
