Forensic Toxicologist Dr.Barry Logan is one of the country's leading educators in the field of forensic science. With academic appointments at Arcadia University, Thomas Jefferson University, Temple University, and Indiana University, Bloomington, Dr. Logan is a highly sought after presenter, consultant and expert witness on postmortem toxicology, expert testimony, designer drugs and effects of drugs on driving.
An experienced toxicologist in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, Dr. Barry Logan has worked as the executive director of the Center for Forensic Science Research & Education at the Fredric Rieders Family Foundation since 2010. In this role, he manages the nonprofit research and education center and teaches at Thomas Jefferson University, Temple University, and Arcadia University. Among the classes he teaches are sessions on expert testimony,m quality management in forensic science, instrumental analysis, forensic toxicology. He is also an active researcher in various areas of forensic toxicology, with over 100 publications, and over 400 presentations at professional meetings around the world. As of 2016, toxicologist Dr. Barry Logan additionally functions as senior vice president of forensic science initiatives at NMS Labs, the nation's largest independent provider forensic science services, focusing on toxicology, drug chemistry, and forensic biology.
Dr. Logan has a Ph.D. in forensic toxicology at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Over the course of his career, he has received a number of honors and awards, including the 2010 Rolla N. Harger Award from the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs, and Traffic Safety’s 2013 Widmark Award.Education
